Annysue Emmons, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner with more than a decade of medical experience. She’s worked in long-term care, home health, and cardiology but now provides family medicine from a functional perspective at VIP Health Family Clinic in Lufkin, Texas. Annysue thoroughly enjoys serving families in her community with the health services they need.
Annysue attended Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas, for her associate’s degree before transferring to Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, to earn her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She then earned bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and biology at Houston Christian University in Houston, Texas, and stayed there to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Following her master’s education, Annysue earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. She is a Board certified family nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
At VIP Health Family Clinic, Annysue prides herself on listening to her patients and compassionately answering their questions. She provides sick visits, chronic disease management, physical exams, and medical weight loss both in person and using convenient telemedicine services.
Outside the office, Annysue spends her free time traveling with her husband, Andre Emmons, EdD, and their two sons. She also enjoys reading books, home remodeling, and exploring new food spots.
